Accommodations

Bamurru Plains offers ten safari bungalows built on stilts overlooking the floodplains. Each bungalow features mesh walls for close wildlife engagement and en-suite bathrooms with a screened area. Rooms include organic cotton bedding, a pillow menu, binoculars, and a cold water thermos for added comfort.

All meals are served communally in the lodge, crafted by a chef using local ingredients. Guests enjoy an open bar with Australian wines, beers, and spirits, plus a snack bar and kid-friendly buffet. Activities & Wildlife

Daily guided wilderness safaris include airboat tours, river cruises, and 4WD drives across the Mary River floodplains. The lodge provides access to one of the largest crocodile populations in the world and over 236 bird species. Guests can also use the outdoor infinity pool overlooking the floodplains, fishing equipment, and walking tours.

Location & Access

Bamurru Plains is located west of Kakadu National Park on the Mary River floodplains. The lodge is a 25-minute scenic charter flight or a 3-hour drive from Darwin, and 2.5 hours west of Jabiru. Nearby attractions include Kakadu National Park, Mary River wetlands, and Aboriginal rock art sites.
